if your trying to take over an outpost .. you can not save until you have conquered it. when you do , go to the safe house in the outpost (look for a red door) , there you can create a save. if you quit the game in the middle of a mission it does not save your progress until you complete the mission (again same as FC3) the first rescue the

You can save your inventory items if you quit the game while in a safe house. You still lose the progress of the main mission where you have to collect 3 items. How to fix Mouse Acceleration. First turn it off in the game COMPLETELY! Then go to the Documents folder in the windows file explorer. Then go to the My Games folder, open up Far Cry 4 and the foler within Far Cry 4. Set the file to Read Only. Then go back into the game, go to mouse options and move Acceleration value to 0.
